I love this choice- what a weird animal! You did a really nice job showing movement, overall shape and different stages. I think at least one close up and detailed exploration drawing of the way the jaw works would have taught you a lot.
Also- I agree that the light in the "push yourself" piece is lovely, but it certainly needs some more work- especially on edge and texture control!
